Studio A-1 Picturessubsidiary Sony Music Entertainment Japanpreparing an anime series NieR: Automata Ver1.1 based on the famous action movie NieR: Automata, with a worldwide circulation of over 6.5 million copies. The series will premiere in Japan in January 2023. Its localization has not yet been announced.
The main characters of the cartoon version will be 2B and 9S, and special teasers have been dedicated to them. At the same time, the creators confirmed that we will hear the same voice actors as in the game: Yui Ishikawa became the voice of 2B (“Attack on titans“,”Violet Evergarden“). And 9S was voiced by Natsuki Hanae (“Demon Slayer“,”Memoirs of Vanitas“).
The anime NieR: Automata Ver1.1 was directed by Ryoji Masuyama, who had previously directed several episodes of the series “Darling in France“,”Love is like the past rain” and “sadistic mix“. Also involved in the creation of Yoko Taro, the creator of the series Nier.
