The role of Percy will be played by a young actor Walker Scobellwho debuted in family comedy “Project Adam” with Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo. Scobell is a big fan of Riordan’s books and has even read the entire Apollo Trials series.

Riordan personally praised the young actor and informed him via Zoom about the successful casting. In his blog, the writer also noted that Scobell would fit perfectly into the role, because he combines “comedy, softness, rebelliousness, causticity and heroism.”
